01 Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Pastry is Art (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your information when you visit this website, contact us, place an order, request a cake quote, apply for a job or work with us as a wholesale client.

Pastry is Art is a bakery cafe located at 12591 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami, FL 33181, United States. You can reach us at (305) 603‑9340 or info@pastryisart.com.

02 Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
  • Text-message choices: which kinds of texts you agreed to receive, and when, where and in what words you agreed.
  • Order and event details: the occasion, date, number of guests, flavors, colors, themes, allergies or dietary notes, delivery address and any message you write to us.
  • Wholesale information: business name, business type, estimated volume and the contact person for the account.
  • Job applications: the information in your message and in the résumé you send us.
  • Designs and reference material: images, sketches or descriptions you share so we can quote or build your cake.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard technical data when you load a page, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Information from third parties

When you order online, your order is placed through our ordering provider, and we receive the order details needed to prepare and hand it to you. When you contact us through Instagram, Facebook or Yelp, we receive whatever those platforms show us.

03 How we use your information

  • To answer your questions, prepare quotes and confirm orders.
  • To bake, decorate, pack and deliver or hand over what you ordered.
  • To coordinate catering, dessert tables and wholesale deliveries.
  • To review job applications.
  • To keep records required for accounting, taxes and food safety.
  • To protect the website and our customers against fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

04 Payments

Online orders are paid on this website through Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are typed into Stripe’s secure payment form and go directly to Stripe: we do not see, collect or store your full card number. We only receive confirmation that the payment was made and what we need to identify your order. In-store payments are handled by our payment terminals. Card data is handled by those providers under their own privacy and security terms.

If you choose to save a card to your account, Stripe keeps it for you and we keep only a reference to it. You can remove it at any time.

Never send card numbers by email or text.If someone asks you to send card details to us in a message, it is not us. Call the bakery at (305) 603‑9340 if you have any doubt.

05 Services we use

To run the site and the business we rely on a small number of providers. They only receive what they need to provide their service:

  • Stripe — payment processing for online orders.
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the Meta Pixel on this website, which tells Meta which pages are visited so we can measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram (see Cookies and tracking). Loading it means your browser contacts Meta servers.
  • Google — the map on our Visit pages, the fonts used on the site and Google Analytics, which measures visits to the site (see Cookies and tracking). Loading them means your browser contacts Google servers.
  • jsDelivr — the icon library used on the site.
  • Email — our email provider, when you write to info@pastryisart.com.
  • Twilio — delivers our text messages to the numbers that opted in. It receives your mobile number and the message, only to send it.
  • Instagram, Facebook and Yelp — if you visit or message us there, their own policies apply.

06 Cookies and tracking

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are opened and from where. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your approximate location and the type of device and browser you use, to Google. That information can also be used for advertising purposes, for example to measure and improve our own advertising. Some embedded content, such as the Google map, may also set its own cookies when it loads. Your browser also keeps a normal technical record of the pages it requests.

This website also uses the Meta Pixel. It sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your IP address and the type of device and browser you use, to Meta. We use it to measure how our advertising on Facebook and Instagram performs and to reach people who have visited the site. Meta handles that information under its own policy, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and you can control the ads you see in your Meta account settings at facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them, although embedded content such as the map may not display correctly.

07 Website forms

The contact, careers and wholesale forms on this site open an email addressed to us, prepared in your own email application. Nothing you type is stored on this website until you press send in your email app, and what you send arrives in our inbox.

08 Our design apps

We are building apps that let customers design their own cake, cookies, cupcakes and cake pops. These apps are not available yet. When they launch, the designs and the details you enter will be used to quote and produce your order, and this policy will be updated with anything specific to them before they go live.

09 Calls, texts and email

We may call or email you about an order, a quote, a delivery or a job application, using the contact details you gave us. We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them.

Text messages

If you choose to receive them, Pastry is Art sends text messages to the mobile number you give us: order status, payment confirmations and account updates, and, only if you choose it separately, rewards points updates and promotions. We also text a one-time sign-in code when you ask for one. We collect your mobile number, the kinds of texts you chose, and the date, place and wording of your consent, to send the messages and to keep a record that you agreed.

  • Mobile numbers and text-message consent are not shared. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number, or your text-message opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The messaging provider that delivers our texts handles your number only to deliver them.
  • Message frequency: order and account texts vary with your orders and account activity; rewards and promotions, up to 4 messages per month; one message for each sign-in code you ask for.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Opt out any time: reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Your consent to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of any purchase.

The full terms of the program are in our SMS Consent & Terms. You can also ask us at any time to stop contacting you for marketing.

10 Photos of your order

Unless you tell us otherwise, you grant us permission to photograph your cake and use the images for marketing and promotional purposes, on our website and social media. These photos show the product, not your guests.

If you prefer that we do not publish photos of your cake, tell us when you place the order or write to info@pastryisart.com and we will not publish it.

11 When we share information

  • With the providers listed above, so they can perform their service for us.
  • With delivery partners, when your order is delivered.
  • With our accountants or advisors, when required to run the business.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our staff or our customers.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

12 How long we keep it

We keep order and quote records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting, tax and legal obligations. Job applications are kept on file so we can consider you for future openings; write to us if you want yours removed. Messages that lead to nothing are deleted when they are no longer useful.

13 Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to our email and order systems is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.

14 Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults placing orders. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

15 Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Delete it, when we are not required to keep it.
  • Stop sending you marketing messages.

Write to info@pastryisart.com or call (305) 603‑9340 and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply to you.

17 Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date below. Significant changes will be announced on the website.
